Kacie Hodges
Kacie Hodges is the owner of Pawdre Smart Training, where she brings over two decades of experience to helping dogs and their people build lasting, successful partnerships. She is especially passionate about training service dogs that enhance and support their handlers’ everyday lives.
Kacie began her animal training career in 2004 at the Texas State Aquarium, working with a variety of exotic species. In 2007, she transitioned to working full-time with dogs and has since developed extensive experience as both a professional trainer and veterinary technician.
Throughout her career, Kacie has remained actively involved with local rescue organizations, serving as a behavior specialist and educator. She has evaluated countless dogs for temperament, placement, and transport, helping ensure they are set up for long-term success in their new homes.
With a strong focus on animal behavior, Kacie is dedicated to developing confident, well-adjusted dogs through thoughtful, compassionate training. Outside of her work, she enjoys surfing and values her role as a mother, often spending time at the beach where she continues to train with both her own dogs and her clients’ dogs.
